Eco Challenge Open to More Schools
30th Sep, 2008
There are now 57 schools actively involved in Eco Challenge and over 1700 students will have completed the residential component of the project by the end of November. You can find out more about the experiences of some of these young people by reading the case studies
Booking for 2009 has now opened and new areas include Middlesborough, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Sandwell, Stoke, Nottingham City and Leicester City. Courses are available throughout 2009. Autumn and winter months are good times to take part in Eco Challenge as there are lots of options available for conservation tasks. Most wildlife has stopped nesting and rearing young and plants have died back allowing the more physical 'hands on' practical tasks to be carried out so that students can gain a real sense of habitat and conservation management.
